Survivor Fans Podcast
Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

It's time to check in with the super fans and see what they thought of the first episode. The scenery in Fiji was a hit and there were certainly some exciting events and standout characters that got everyone talking along with the controversy associated with the theme for the season. While episode one didn't work for everyone, the majority received it really well and enjoyed having Survivor back. We're anxiously looking forward to episode two and can't wait for Wednesday night when we start the second cycle of season 33!

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great LF show. This week we heard from: Pete, Aaron, Carolyn, Jack, Jill, Rob, Samantha, WT, Joe, JWaffles, BrandonA, Josh, Drew, Becca-n-Liam, Marla-n-Sarah, Kenny, Sandi, Shea, Rodney, Jeremiah, Jen, and Paul.

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547 or toll-free at 844-643-8737. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com.

This week we interviewed Rachel Ako. She left the game in episode 1 of Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X. It's the little things that you have to watch out for at the beginning of the game. How you choose to speak to others and whether you take a risk and volunteer for a specific task in the Immunity challenge can make or break you. Unfortunately for Rachel, her social game was not strong enough to compensate for a couple of events that combined to make her this season's first boot.

Listen to this interview to hear her assessment of her tribemates, details on what happened during the evacuation, how her dad responded to her experience and more!

Survivor season 33, Millennials vs. Gen X, is off to an excellent start! We've already had three first ever events to kick things off. It will be interesting to see how the Legacy Advantage plays out. Were you surprised by the results from the first tribal council? Do you think they made the best choice?

How did your assessments of the new castaways change once you saw them in action? Who do you think is playing the best so far and who is in jeopardy of being voted out before the merge? Who impressed you the most? Who would you have kept? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episodes 1.
Vanua/Millennials:Adam, Figgy, Hannah, Jay, Mari, Michaela, Michelle, Taylor, Will, and Zeke
Takali/Gen X:Bret, CeCe, Chris, David, Jessica, Ken, Lucy, Paul, and Sunday

It's time to wrap up our thoughts on Kaoh Rong. The season on the whole got great reviews, but the finale left a lot of folks confused or disappointed. They were just sure that Aubry was going to win based on her story arc and the lack of detail to support Michele's comeback win. If you believe in a "winner's edit", this was a tough one to swallow, because Michele's positivity and superb social game were hard to convey in contrast to all the big personalities, dramatic events, and that scene stealer Mark the Chicken!

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great LF show. This week we heard from: Pete, Meredith, Samantha, Pam, Jill, JK, Joe, Nicola, Carolyn, JohnnyMac, Thomas, Marla-n-Sarah, Frank, Drew, LC, Parker, BrandonA, MikeK, Kenny, Ed, Rashmi, James, Ronda, Shannon, Jen, PaulS, Michael, JD, Jeremiah, Josh, and Paul.

This week we interviewed Michele Fitzgerald, the winner of Survivor Kaoh Rong. It was easy to overlook Michele in the beginning as just another pretty face. The theme of the season and her tribe reinforced it. She was a key member of a dominant tribe and that kept her out of the spotlight of tribal council for the first 21 days, but she was already working her "win from the middle" strategy even before the merge. From there, it was a long, patient, strategic climb to the end where she built on her physical and mental competitiveness along with her all inclusive social game to turn the eventual tide in her favor.

Listen to this interview to hear how she fought to get on the show, how she felt about her edit, her thoughtful comparison of the her and Aubry's social game and lots more!

This week we interviewed Tai Trang and Aubry Bracco. Tai came in third and Aubry took second place in the finale of Survivor Kaoh Rong. Tai became a fan favorite right out the gate and his connection to all things living brought us another fan favorite in Mark the Chicken, a true life Survivor of this season. Tai's dance on the dark side left some of us conflicted with the hero image we had of him. Aubry's start was the complete opposite which framed her as weak and succumbing to the elements. She slowly started to win us over when she bounced back and began an amazing comeback arc only to get knocked down again and again, but finessed her way to the end with an impressive strategic and social game.

Listen to this interview to hear how they got on the show, how Tai injured himself in training before the game began, the foundation to Aubry's amazing social game and lots more!

Probst described it as the toughest season in Survivor history, and we're happy to declare it one of the most enjoyable too. We started with low expectations. How could anything compare to the amazing gameplay in Second Chances, but this one shocked, surprised and delighted us all the way through. The finale delivered with solid challenges and a twist that actually seemed to work. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

What did you think of the final challenges? What did you think about the new twist to vote out a jury member? How did the final three do with answering the jury's questions? Who in the jury asked the best and worst questions? What did you think of the reunion show? Where does this season rank? How does it compare to the first Brains vs. Beauty vs. Brawn? What are your thoughts on season 33? Are you ready for Millennials vs. Gen X?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547 and now toll free at 844-643-8737. Congratulations to the JSFL Winner, Griffin with 127 points.

The high stakes, JSFL side challenger’s final scores are: The undisputed winner and only one to reach triple digits was Stacy with a staggering 124 points. Hubaloo managed a distant second with 80 points. Jeremiah squeeked in with 73. Nina along with James-n-Shannon topped out at 69. Iron Dave finished with 64 points. JayJay got 61 points. Caroylyn ended with 59 points. Brandon and Kitty cat scored 52 points. Cold Mike ended with 50. Jonathan just barely avoided the bottom with 47, and Aaron locked in the loss with 46 points.
