Survivor Fans Podcast
Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

This episode can often represent a critical stage in the game. Actions taken here should be done with an eye towards establishing a controlling alliance going into the merge. The big question this week is did Escameca make the right choice when they decided to throw the challenge, and did they vote out the biggest threat to their success? We had another great episode and are excited to see how the merge plays out in the next one.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fourteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 6 as well as predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Barbara, ColdMike, Samantha, Rashmi, Sarah, Marla, JamesG, Drew, Jill, JimR, Ann, Jeremiah, Josh, and Paul.

This week we interviewed Joaquin Souberbielle. He left the game in episode 6 of Survivor Worlds Apart. He got off to a rocky start when his first alliance was voted out of the game, but seemed to recover by quickly making friends with Tyler. It looked like his ability to make friends fast was working again after the tribal shuffle, but his budding bromance with Rodney backfired and got him voted out.

Listen to this interview to hear how not being a fan impacted his game, why they targeted Joe, what else he wished they had shown and more!

It looked like Escameca, the blue tribe, was destined to dominate all the challenges this week, but the new Nagarote really surprised us! They all did well, but Jenn really shined in that reward challenge. It was a bit sad watching how the two alliances in Escameca approached Sierra. In those types of situations, it can be really powerful to simply let the swing vote decide who to vote out. Do you think Dan was still complaining that Sierra was partially to blame for how they treated her as he watched this episode tonight?

What did you think about Mike's logic for throwing the challenge? Would you be comfortable taking a risk that big in the game? Is it a big enough play to win it all? Did you agree with Sierra's choice? Who will emerge as the controlling alliance after the merge? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 6.
Escameca/Blue:Dan, Joe, Mike, Rodney, Sierra, and Tyler
Nagarote/Red:Carolyn, Hali, Jenn, Kelly, Shirin, Will

This week's double header ran the gamut of emotions for many fans. Some were thrilled with the results, some called foul, others were really sad. The tribe shuffle appears incredibly lopsided, but so far this season has been full of surprises and we are certainly hoping for more as we head into episode six.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Nineteen fans shared their thoughts on episodes 4 and 5 as well as predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Barbara, Sandi, BostonMark, Carolyn, Sarah, Marla, Rob, Ronda, Drew, JamesG, Samantha, Ann, BrandonB, Liam & Becca, ColdMike, Josh, Jody, and Paul.

This week we interviewed Max Dawson. He left the game in episode 5 of Survivor Worlds Apart. Max was such a well known super fan that he was spotted even before the game began. His expert knowledge of the game unfortunately did him no favors and ended up being the primary reason he was singled out and eliminated.

Listen to this interview to hear how he got on the show, how playing with another super fan helped and hurt him, his thoughts on what went right as well as wrong and more!

This week we interviewed Lindsey Cascaddan. She left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Worlds Apart. Lindsey's tattoos and confrontational personality ensured that she stood out from the start. Unfortunately for her, that type of behavior also can make you an easy target when it finally comes time to vote the first person out of the tribe.

Listen to this interview to hear how she ended up on the show, her assessment of her tribemates, the big life changes she has experienced since being on the show and more!

What a treat! We got an extra episode this week with a lot of great action. Now that we know the castaways a little better, we saw the return of the classic reward challenge. Even with the extra time spent on the action of the extra challenges, we still got some great insights into the social aspects of the game too. One of this season's themes continues to be the lack of self awareness. Shirin, Max, Rodney, Lindsey, and Dan seem to find new ways to demonstrate this each week. Kelly, on the other hand, serves as a great contrast to this clueless crew. It was great to see her highlighted this week.

Did your perception of anyone change significantly after the shuffle? Who do you think is in control of each tribe? Will the red tribe get decimated in the upcoming challenges? Who is Sierra better off aligning with? Is there a solid five in control of the red tribe now? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episodes 4 and 5.
Escameca/Blue:Dan, Joaquin, Joe, Mike, Rodney, Sierra, and Tyler
Nagarote/Red:Carolyn, Hali, Jenn, Kelly, Shirin, Will

Episode three left a lot of us feeling that it was a bit ho hum, after the excitement and surprises we got in the first two. On the plus side though, we got to see a lot of tribe dynamics which gave us some insights into how the social aspect of the game is evolving on each tribe. This week focused on the at risk players on each tribe: Shirin, Joaquin, Mike, Dan, Rodney, Will and Nina. The five of these remaining are likely at the bottom of their tribes, so it will be critical to see what happens to them if we get a tribe shuffle in the next, upcoming double episode.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twelve fans shared their thoughts on episode 3 and predictions for what we'll see next.

This week we interviewed Nina Poersch. She left the game in episode 3 of Survivor Worlds Apart. Nina got a warm reception at the start of the game, and it looked like her deafness would not be a major factor. That changed and she eventually had a melt down that was prompted by how she felt she was being mistreated by her tribemates. She was unable to bond with them and was finally taken out by the majority alliance.

Listen to this interview to hear how being a fan affected her game, details on their food situation, her thoughts on her tribemates and more!

It is a classic pattern. A castaway gets booted out of a tribe and that tribe's failure at the next challenge appears like it hinged on that choice. Imagine how the No Collar's would have faired if they had kept Vince instead of Nina. The other classic pattern we were treated to this episode is for the dominant tribe to start to self destruct, and the Blue Collars are working hard on that one too. How is it that all the guys are experts at annoying their tribemates? Mike keeps digging his hole, Dan finds new ways to insert his foot in his mouth, and Rodney appears ready to rage at his tribemates in every confrontation. Meanwhile, over at the White Collars, Shirin and Joaquin are making the next choice to be booted from that tribe super easy too. This episode took us through day 8 and it is clear that the elements are really starting to have an impact on this group.

Who would you have chosen: Nina or Will? What's the key to keeping harmony in the dominant tribe? Do you think the Blue Collars will throw a challenge just to get rid of Mike? Is a tribe swap imminent or would your rather see them preserve the tribes until the merge? Who do you think is in control of each tribe? Who do you think will be the next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 3.
Escameca/Blue Collar:Dan, Kelly, Lindsey, Mike, Rodney, Sierra
Nagarote/No Collar:Hali, Jenn, Joe, Will
Masaya/White Collar:Carolyn, Joaquin, Max, Shirin, Tyler
