Survivor Fans Podcast (podcasts)
Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

This episode turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. There were some highlights for some of the castaways and low, lowlights for a couple others. Dan and Rodney's actions and cruel words have really turned off many fans. Their ongoing disrespectful antagonism of Shirin and Sierra have cemented their positions as the unwitting villains of the season. Meanwhile, Joe and Mike really gave their fans something to cheer for this week. There may be a temptation to give up on this season and write it off as predictable from here on, but we think it's way too soon for that. Based on the depth and enjoyment the first seven episodes provided, we believe season 30 has more surprises in store for us.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fourteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 8 as well as predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great show. This week we heard from: Jody, Liam and Becca, Rashmi, Marla, Sandi, BrandonB, Drew, Ann, Josh, Jeremiah, Doreese, ColdMike, and Paul.

The consensus is clear in this week's feedback. The majority of us think the new tribe could have done much better with the new name, but we all enjoyed the episode. This may be a standout season. We're seven episodes in and still enjoying it. It's great to have so many people left in the game that seem to understand what they're doing.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fifteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 7 as well as predictions for what we'll see next.

This episode can often represent a critical stage in the game. Actions taken here should be done with an eye towards establishing a controlling alliance going into the merge. The big question this week is did Escameca make the right choice when they decided to throw the challenge, and did they vote out the biggest threat to their success? We had another great episode and are excited to see how the merge plays out in the next one.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fourteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 6 as well as predictions for what we'll see next.

This week's double header ran the gamut of emotions for many fans. Some were thrilled with the results, some called foul, others were really sad. The tribe shuffle appears incredibly lopsided, but so far this season has been full of surprises and we are certainly hoping for more as we head into episode six.

Nineteen fans shared their thoughts on episodes 4 and 5 as well as predictions for what we'll see next.

Episode three left a lot of us feeling that it was a bit ho hum, after the excitement and surprises we got in the first two. On the plus side though, we got to see a lot of tribe dynamics which gave us some insights into how the social aspect of the game is evolving on each tribe. This week focused on the at risk players on each tribe: Shirin, Joaquin, Mike, Dan, Rodney, Will and Nina. The five of these remaining are likely at the bottom of their tribes, so it will be critical to see what happens to them if we get a tribe shuffle in the next, upcoming double episode.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twelve fans shared their thoughts on episode 3 and predictions for what we'll see next.

Overall, episode two continued to deliver on the promise of a solid Survivor season. The gratuitous nudity was a bit much for many of the North American viewers, but it was balanced out with a healthy dose of character development and a great water challenge. Mike and Nina are really disappointing fans with their clichéd meltdowns. Max and Shirin's hipster level of homage actions is not winning the fans over to their side either. Fortunately, there are still plenty of others to cheer for and we are all looking forward to what episode three will bring.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Eighteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 2 and predictions for what we'll see next.

Many of us were hopeful for this season before it started. It was really refreshing to kick the season off with a great, ninety minute premiere. Based on your feedback most of you agreed. Jenn, Joe and Carolyn appear to be off to a great start. Joaquin, Dan and Mike fumbled their starts, but at least Mike redeemed himself in the challenge. Vince, the life coach, has managed to creep everyone out so far. So, they're not all superstars, but here's hoping this season just keeps getting better and better.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty two fans shared their thoughts on episode 1 and predictions for what we'll see next.

Worlds Apart JABBIC Part 2

We are only a few days away from the premiere of season 30, Survivor Worlds Apart. It can be challenging to recognize the new castaways at the beginning of the season, but we've got a solution for that to enhance your Survivor viewing experience. It's called the JABBIC, "Judge A Book By Its Cover", shows. We get started before the first episode airs and record our early thoughts on this new group of castaways. Through this process, we identify a few of them we think will stand out from the beginning, and it greatly improves the odds of recognizing your early favorites.

This is Part 2 of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. Fourteen fans, like you, recorded their perspective on the new cast including their choice of favorites, who's most likely to get voted out first, make the merge, have a shot at the final tribal council as well as who has what it takes to win it all.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Barbara, Jen, BrandonB, Ronda, Samantha, Frank, Drew, BrandonA, Rashmi, Sandi, Jeremiah, Josh, Jody and Paul. Carolyn was so happy for Natalie's win that she created a song to celebrate it. Make sure to check out the outro song she recorded for us all to enjoy!

JSFL registration is open! If you would like to join in the fun, click on this link: JSFL Registration and get your picks in before the first episode airs. You'll have to decide who you think will win it all, who will be voted out first, and four castaways that will be safe from the first tribal council. Reminder: you have to listen to the podcast to hear the Listener Reward Bonus questions.

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com.

All About that Rice
Because you know it’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
"It’s all about that rice." "We know, Jeff!"

Loud and shrill and pushy,
Such sexist labels
Guys are just "assertive",
Girls are "unstable".
But we just can’t say no to CBS
Although this Race stays in just this one place, yawn

I hear your mutterings
That I’m annoy-oying,
But, unlike that Missy,
I’m never cloy-oying!
Get in the back seat, let me drive you
To your palace back in Dallas, time to find a husband new!

Soy La Reina de la Playa, the Queen of Hunahpu Beach,
‘Til I found out my sis had been booted, our game impeached
But I dried off my tears, did my Crossfit, and made no fuss
Now they’re toasting my win from Colombo to Pa-ra-mus!

Because you know it’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice-

Subcontinental cool,
Don’t you wish that you were all Sri Lankan too?
Go Brownie power!
Miss America--ya got nothing, Jacklyn,
Take your grand plan back to Michigan,
I’m famouser than you!

I outlasted the Wentworths, the Nale males, and both Christys,
I outwitted that racist John and quitter Boobs McGee
I outplayed Josh and Reed, used my idol despite Baylor’s pleas,
And took out Other Jon in revenge for my Jeremy!

Because you know it’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice-

Because you know it’s all about that win, ‘bout that win, go Twinnie
It’s all about that win, ‘bout that win, go Twinnie
It’s all about that win, ‘bout that win, go Twinnie
It’s all about that win, ‘bout that win-

Soy La Reina de la Playa, the Queen of Hunahpu Beach,
‘Til I found out my sis had been booted, our game impeached
But I dried off my tears, did my Crossfit, and made no fuss
Now they’re toasting my win from Colombo to Pa-ra-mus!

Colombo is the capitol of Sri Lanka and Paramus is a big mall-infested city in New Jersey that, like so many others there, is a funny name to say. The girls actually live in Edgewater, which is nice but not particularly funny and doesn't rhyme with anything.

San Juan Del Sur Finale LF

It is time to bring a close to season 29, but not before checking in one last time with the fans to get your perspective on the Finale, Reunion show and an overall assessment of Survivor San Juan Del Sur. Thanks once again to everyone who came together to share and helped to make watching this season together so enjoyable.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Seventeen fans shared their thoughts on the finale, the season as a whole as well as their predictions for season 30, Worlds Apart.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Barbara, Mikeybear, Rashmi, Nina, Carolyn, Emily, Kenny, Drew, Josh, Samantha, Becca, Ann, Jill, Ronda, Boston Mark, Jeremiah, and Paul.

JSFL Update: Congratulations to Rashmi, winner of this season's JSFL as well as the side challenge!
Note:Nina's punishment/reward for coming in last in the JSFL side challenge will be for her to sing a tribute to Natalie with a special version of Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny), using the English version of the song from Slumdog Millionaire by A.R. Rahman and The Pussycat Dolls.
