Philippines Episode 1

Survivor's back for it's 25th season and that was a great first episode. We're big fans of extended episodes, and the 90 minutes we got tonight gave us a lot of time with the tribes. We got to hear from everyone but Artis and Carter. Malcolm and Russell's mastery of the bamboo saw was impressive, not unlike last season with Jay. The returning players were thrilled to be back, but all of them seemed to stumble right out of the gate. Penner did great by finding the first HII clue but also managed to alienate his tribe. Skupin could not stop injuring himself, and Russell came very close to being first out by falling into old patterns. He owes Zane a big thanks for saving him from that humiliation.

What did you think about how the returning players and new castaways did? Who suprised you the most? Did your impressions of anyone change after you got to see them in action in this first episode? What did you think of Zane's gameplay? Was he brilliant but flawed or just another first out footnote? Do you think Penner or Lisa will be the next to be voted out?

Here are the tribes after episode 1.
Matsing:Russell, Angie, Denise, Malcolm and Roxy
Tandang:Skupin, Abi, Artis, Lisa, Pete and RC
Kalabaw:Penner, Carter, Dana, Dawson, Jeff and Katie

One World Finale

Hurray! We finally got a jury that wasn't stewing in their own bitterness, well, except for Troy. Who told the guy with no social game he compared with Richard Hatch? In any case, it was awesome to see Kim be rewarded for being such a dominant player. She did not stand out in the beginning, but as many expected, she was playing at a level most of the castaways were never even aware of. It was funny to hear Alicia compare herself to Kim, thinking they were so alike. She dominated the social game, the physical game as well as the strategic game. She did in one season what it took Boston Rob four to achieve.

What did you think of the finale and the reunion show? Were you happy with the result? How does Kim compare to other Survivor winners? How did the season as a whole compare with your favorites? What do you think about Survivor Philippines: 3 returning players who were medivaced out of the game, plus starting with 3 tribes? Do you think the 3 tribe start will help avoid the emergence of a dominant 5 alliance on day 1? Listener Feedback is due by Wednesday, May 16th at 5pm PST.

Congratulations to Marius from Norway, winner of Survivor One World JSFL!

One World Episode 13

Tarzan finally outlived his usefulness to the women. He also managed to melt down while he was in the process of making a somewhat convincing case for how he could get to final 3. Kim was busy as usual, playing all sides and somehow convincing them that she was allied with each person. Tarzan tried the same ploy and was promptly busted and booted out of the tribe.

Will the finale bring a surprise winner? Do you think we will be spared a bitter jury? Can Kim hang on to win it all? If not Kim, who would you be happy to see win?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 13.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Kim and Sabrina

Jo Ann's final 5 order is: Chelsea, Sabrina, Christina, Alicia and Kim for the win. Stacy thinks it will be: Christina, Chelsea, Alicia, Sabrina and Kim for the win. What's your final 5 order?

One World Episode 12

Yes Kat, blindsides are fun and exciting, for the fans. Poor clueless Kat, Kat the brat, the fart blossom of her tribe. She provided lots of comic relief and her occasional struggles for self awareness and the consideration of her legacy in the game, almost make us feel sorry for her, almost. In the end, she might have a shot at being remembered for lowering the bar of comparison for future castaways. Kim made another strategic blunder this week, but was able to lay most of that off on Kat. She appears unstoppable at this point. Only a bitter jury will foil her plans to win it all!

Who will Kim choose to replace Kat in her final three master plan? Who of the remaining players represent the biggest physical threats? How about the strategic threats? Who do you think the jury is already favoring? Has Greg been scamming everyone and really playing the best possible game to get himself to the end?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 12.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kim and Sabrina

Jo Ann thinks Tarzan will be the next to go. Stacy thinks it is finally time to send Christina packing. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 11

Hooray! We finally got a chopping block challenge. We love these because they often help point out the unspoken order within alliances and can serve as wakeup calls to the ones stuck at the bottom. The tribemate quiz versions also offer the opportunity for the castaways to be mean to each other which can sometimes result in long standing grudges. Troy, Christina and Sabrina were on the receiving end of the beatdown this time. The overwhelming odds finally got the best of Troy. We give him credit for not giving up and trying everything he could think of all the way to the bitter end. He unfortunately poisoned the waters with all his previous outbursts which limited his opportunities to win someone over to his side when he needed it the most.

Christina was chosen as least deserving to still be in the game. Yet she is still here. She doesn't even seem to be a target for the next episode. Do you think she has a chance of making it to the end? What do you think Troy's final words to Kat meant? When is the right time to challenge Kim? Who could make the best case to beat her at this point? Do you think Tarzan could win if they drag him to final 3? Kim appeared to make some significant tactical errors in this episode. Did she jeopardize her chances to win? Does it make her appear to be less of a threat? There are now five jury members. Who do you think they are leaning towards for the win?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 11.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kat, Kim and Sabrina

Jo Ann thinks Tarzan will be the next to go. Stacy thinks it's time for the women to turn on each other, and Kat will be the first victim. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 10

If Troy could muster some self discipline, he might have the makings of an All Star Survivor. He nailed the auction strategy, pulled off a perfect HII search/find fake out, managed to win a crucial Immunity challenge, and topped it off with a strategy that would flip the power structure of the tribe giving the lowest players on the totem pole a chance to take control. It was all marred though by his bitter, often times vindictive outbursts now that he realizes he is an extreme underdog to win and was betrayed by those he thought he was closest to.

Assuming he could make it to the end, how much damage did Troy do to his chances with the jury? Could he recover from so many bitter outbursts? Did Alicia, Christina and Tarzan just pass up their best opportunity to take control of the game when they opted not to take Troy's proposal? Who will be the first to bail on the core alliance that consists of Kim, Chelsea, Sabrina and Kat?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 10.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kat, Kim, Sabrina and Troy

As far as we are concerned, Troy's head will remain on the chopping block until further notice. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 9

We did not get a pecking order challenge in this episode, but food temptations can also help shed extra light on where castaways think they stand in the tribe. It was great to see an HII played, unfortunately Jay ensured that we would not get the dramatic payoff we were hoping for all the while ensuring that he would be the next to go.

How much do you credit Alicia and Leif with Chelsea's win? Does Troy have the connections to make a comeback? How do you think Chelsea will surprise us next? Who is your pick for a dark horse winner at this point in the game? Will Troy be able to go on an immunity challenge winning streak? Who is your pick for final five?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 9.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kat, Kim, Leif, Sabrina and Troy

We both think that Troy will be next to go unless he manages to win Immunity. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 8

So long sneaky banker. You danced, dodged, bobbed and weaved until Kim got some food in her belly and could think clearly again. Fully powered up, Kim managed to not only nuke Mike, but also manipulate Troy, manage Jay and almost won individual immunity. Can you imagine what she will be able to accomplish if she manages to win a second reward challenge? It sure would be great if we got a pecking order challenge in episode 9 so everyone could see where they stood.

Does Troy have a chance to recover? Should he play his HII now? Will he be forced to reveal that he has an HII to ensure that he can get enough votes to take control of the tribe? Does Kim have it in the bag from here? Who do you think the men could convince to swing their votes away from the all female alliance?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 8.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Jay, Kat, Kim, Leif, Sabrina and Troy

Jo Ann thinks the annihilation will continue as Jay becomes the next victim of the women's alliance. Stacy thinks that Troy will come to his senses and set a trap for Kim. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 7

Now we know why they merged the tribes at night. The finance guy found a way to save a few bucks on the budget by trimming it down to cheese-n-crackers plus a couple bottles of champagne instead of the big feasts we have seen in past seasons. It was exciting to learn that a second idol is in play. Do you think Troy will keep that to himself, or will he be dying to share it with someone like Jay?

How would you rate this season's merge flag and tribe name? Who do you think is in a better position in the game at this point: Kim or Troyzan? Did Christina and Alicia catch a huge break, or will they simply be the last two to get voted out if new Salani sticks to their plan? It appears that everyone dislikes Greg. Do you think he will be dragged along to the final 3 like his predecessor Secret Agent Underpants? Do you think we might still see a female alliance take control of the game and vote out all the men?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 7.
Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Jay, Kat, Kim, Leif, Michael, Sabrina and Troy

Jo Ann still thinks they will target Michael next. Stacy thinks the sneaky banker will be safe for a little while as they continue to focus on wiping out new Manano and send Leif to the Ponderosa. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 6

The shuffle barely had time to take affect, and now we are on to the merge. As significant as the merge usually is in the game, it was overshadowed by the anti climatic exit of Colton. We never want to see someone have to leave the game for medical reasons. After watching him be so ugly and unnecessarily mean to his tribemates though, a lot of folks were anticipating watching him get voted out, hopefully by a staggering, historic blindside to restore a sense of balance to the game. His exit due to an illness leaves a lot of that unresolved.

What did you think about Colton's exit from the game? How about Jonas' take on the role of karma? Who do you think will emerge as the dominant alliance? Will they fall back to the pre-shuffle tribal lines? Who is most likely to betray their original alliances and cross the line to create the new majority?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 6.
TBD:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Jay, Jonas Kat, Kim, Leif, Michael, Sabrina and Troy

Jo Ann thinks they may choose to target Michael as a post merge threat. Stacy thinks that Alicia is likely to be reunited with Colton. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Listener Feedback is due by Sunday noon PST.
