Heroes vs. Villains Episode 3

Surprise! The Heroes stand a chance to win as long as they keep those pesky puzzles out of the challenges. How did this version of the Sumo challenge compare to Palau and Fiji? How would you rank them?

Do you think Parvati can still go deep in the game given that everyone appears to be on to her game? How do you think Russell is doing this time? Is he controlling the game or merely along for the ride? Will he survive a direct conflict with Boston Rob?

Here are the tribes after episode 3.
Heroes:Amanda, Candice, Cirie, Colby, James, J.T., Rupert and Tom
Villains:Coach, Courtney, Danielle, Jerri, Parvati, Rob, Russell, Sandra and Tyson

When pressed for a prediction, Jo Ann chose Courtney. Stacy has taken the bait and is willing to gamble that Russell will be next to go. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Heroes vs. Villains Episode 2

For the second time now, we have seen the Villains fall significantly behind in the Immunity challenge and then stage a triumphant comeback. Their ability to choose and follow a single leader without a lot of discussion really appears to be paying off.

How did you view the exchange between Stephenie and James? Was James being a bully? Was Stephenie right to respond? Will Tom and Colby be the next to be voted out of the Heroes? How do you think Russell is fairing next to Boston Rob? Can the Heroes recover?

Here are the tribes after episode 2.
Heroes:Amanda, Candice, Cirie, Colby, James, J.T., Rupert and Tom
Villains:Coach, Courtney, Danielle, Jerri, Parvati, Randy, Rob, Russell, Sandra and Tyson

Jo Ann thinks the Villains will lose next and finally get around to booting Randy off. Stacy thinks that Tom has sealed his fate and will be the next to leave having lost the numbers game. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Heroes vs. Villains Episode 1

Wow, I think that was the best first episode of a season that we have ever seen. It was really excellent from beginning to end: from the brutal reward challenge, to the chicken capture, to making fire, and an amazing comeback in the immunity challenge. What was your favorite moment?

Do you think Boston Rob will be leaving on a medical? Could the potential romance between Coach and Jerri work to their benefit? Who do you think is likely to swap places between the heroes and the villains before the season is over? Do you think Rupert stands a chance this season? What did you think of Russell's performance? Do you think he will stand out relative to all the other castaways?

Here are the tribes after episode 1.
Heroes:Amanda, Candice, Cirie, Colby, James, J.T., Rupert, Stephenie and Tom
Villains:Coach, Courtney, Danielle, Jerri, Parvati, Randy, Rob, Russell, Sandra and Tyson

Both songs this week are dedicated to Sugar. She actually sings the vocals on the first one, and the outro seemed somehow fitting, especially if you are a big Sugar fan.

Samoa Finale

Now that was an excellent finale! We got lots of tension, drama and gameplay in the final episode and a bit more in the reunion show. We had a great time attending and covering the events from the Thursday viewing party, Friday interview with Shambo, hanging out with Christy and Mark while getting to talk informally and take pictures with the castaways on Saturday. On Sunday, we attended the finale at the studio and did the red carpet interviews. We closed out the day at the after party and then came back to the hotel to watch all the interviews we recorded earlier. We had great time chatting about our favorite show with fellow fans MikeK, Christy, Mark, Scott, Steve, Big Mike, Betsy, April, Ryan, Dennis, TJ and Larry. As always, we want to say a big thanks to SEG and CBS for providing the show that we enjoy so much and allowing us to join in the fun.

Congratulations to MikeyBear, winner of the Survivor Samoa JSFL!

MikeyBear played a great first half and went into the final picks in the lead. He locked in the win by having picked Natalie as his USB before the season started and selecting the correct final four order. Kathy S gave him a run for the title. The difference between first and second place was just one point.

We will record the final Listener Feedback show for Survivor Samoa on Saturday, December 26th at 5pm PDT. We would love to hear your take on the finale, the reunion show and the season as a whole. Does Samoa make your top five list? What gets your vote for best moment of the season? Do you think there was anything Russell could have done to sway that jury in his favor? Do you think he's the best strategic player in the history of the game?

We have several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Samoa Episode 14

Brett's winning streak continues much to the frustration of the Foa Foa Four.Do you think voting out Shambo was really their best choice? Do you think Natalie will really stick with Russell to the end or will she follow her heart and switch alliances to Brett? Put yourself in the shoes of each of the remaining players. What would you say to win over the Galu heavy jury?

Many thanks to Larry and TJ for organizing the Survivor Samoa Viewing party tonight. We had a blast talking with Russell, Monica, Bob Dawg, Bruce, Boo, Coby, Christina, Jennifer and Rob Cesternino as well as April, Scott, Steve, Daniel, Big Mike and many other Survivor Super Fans. Jo Ann and I want to offer a special thanks to Christy and Mike K for staying late with us to record the recap show. That was the cherry on top to a great evening.

Here is the tribe after the fourteenth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Jaison, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann's Final Five order (5, 4, 3, 2, 1): Brett, Mick, Jaison, Russell, winner Natalie
Christy's Final Five order: Brett, Jaison, Mick, Russell, winner Natalie
MikeK's Final Five order: Jaison, Brett, Mick, Natalie, winner Russell
Stacy's Final Five order: Mick, Brett, Jaison, Natalie, winner Russell
What is your final five prediction?

Samoa Episode 13

Amazing! They really did it. Foa Foa gained the upper hand. Who do you think was most responsible for Galu's downfall? Was it Russell the mastermind strategist? Did Natalie swing the balance when she got close to Galu, or would you say it was when Kelly decided that Eric should go?

Brett appears to be all alone now. How would you feel if he won all the remaining individual immunities and made it to final three? Would you be happy if he won? What is Mick's best strategy to win from here? Do you really think Jaison would stand a chance up against Russell? Who do you think Shambo will target next in her quest to settle scores?

Here is the tribe after the thirteenth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Jaison, Mick, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

With Foa Foa in control, we both think that invisible Brett will go next. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Samoa Episode 11

The contrast is so stark for us as we watch the events unfold. John thinks he is having a discussion with an ally and an equal in the game. Russell decides that a new threat has surfaced, partially of his own making, and needs to be eliminated immediately. A line was crossed in the course of what seemed like a friendly conversation and the target is completely unaware of the impending danger. John might as well have been in the cage with the chickens at that point.

Do you think Shambo will feel betrayed by Foa Foa and flip back to Galu? Will she be willing to force a tie at the next tribal council? Would you try to keep her till the end, or would it be better to get rid of her next? It appears now that Galu has become the underdogs. Are you tempted to start rooting for one of them to strike back and win now?

Here is the tribe after the eleventh episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

Jo Ann thinks Mick will not survive questioning Russell's allegiance. Stacy thinks they need to get rid of Shambo because she has served her purpose and can not be trusted. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Samoa Episode 10

Even when they make a point of tracking Russell, he outwits them and finds another Hidden Immunity Idol! He has without a doubt earned a place in Survivor history and we are only at episode 10 for this season.

Why do you think old Danger Dave was so willing to leave his future in the game and making it to the finals to chance? Now that Laura's gone, who should Foa Foa focus on next? Do you think anyone from Galu besides Shambo stands a chance of making it to the final four now?

Here is the tribe after the tenth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, John, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

Jo Ann thinks Brett will be the next victim from Galu to join the jury. Stacy thinks they will all wise up and focus on taking out Russell. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Samoa Episode 9

We did not expect they could top the last episode, but this one seems to have succeeded. From a pure gameplay perspective, Russell is heads and shoulders above his Aiga tribemates.

Russell found a way to survive another week and take the Galu tribe down another notch. Do you think he stands a chance against Laura? Are they making it too easy to find the Hidden Immunity Idols? Is it possible that we might have underestimated Shambo when it comes to strategic gameplay? Will Russell be able to throw them off his tracks as he searches for his third HII? Are you impressed with Laura's ability to win two individual immunities in a row? Would you be happy if she won at this point?

Here is the tribe after the ninth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, John, Laura, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

We both are betting that Galu's losing streak will continue, and Laura will be the next to leave. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Samoa Episode 8

Wow, that has to be one of the best, most action packed merge episodes we have seen in a long time. We really enjoyed watching all the scheming and scrambling for position with multiple twists and a super blindside vote out thrown in for good measure.

Will Galu proceed to self destruct? Can you see any way for the the Foa Foa underdogs to rally? How do you think Laura and John faired in this episode? Could Jaison go far now that everyone agrees he is no threat? Do you think the reign of Evil Russell is finally over? Who do you think is the biggest threat to win?

Here is the new merged tribe after the eighth episode:
Aiga: Brett, Dave, Jaison, John, Kelly, Laura, Mick, Monica, Natalie, Russell H, Shambo

Jo Ann thinks Laura will be the next to leave. Stacy thinks Russell's time is up. Who do you think will be voted out next?
