South Pacific Episode 9 LF

There is always the possibility of predictability when one alliance or tribe gains the upper hand after the merge, but that does not stop Survivor fans from finding interesting points to ponder for each episode. That is because we like to consider all the possibilities and the impact that different strategies might have. The Listener Feedback show this week, while shorter than normal, covers a lot of territory. Savaii's choices leading up to Cochran's flip and their post merge behavior continue to be hot topics. Upolu gets their fair share of scrutiny too.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fourteen shared their thoughts on episode 9 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. We want to especially thank all of you that got your responses in early! This week we heard from: Jeremiah, KathyS, Katie, Samantha, Stephanie, Brandon, MikeK, DrewG, Brian, Anna, Michele, Christy, Dale and Paul.

South Pacific Episode 9

If one tribe gains control and begins to systematically eliminate their competition, you could not ask for a better solution than double eliminations to speed up the process. Is Cochran out for revenge or is he purely pursuing his best interests? What did you make of the explanations he offered? Does Dawn stand a chance to find a spot in Upolu? What did you think of Jim's grand plan to save Ozzy and get Cochran voted out? Who wins at Redemption Beach?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 9.
Te Tuna:Cochran, Dawn and Whitney, Albert, Brandon, Coach, Edna, Rick, and Sophie
Redemption Beach: Ozzy vs Keith vs. Jim

I think the controlling 6 from Upolu will target Dawn next. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

South Pacific Episode 8 LF

Another great episode spawned a correspondingly excellent Listener Feedback show! Cochran's moves were, as expected, a hot topic of conversation. Quite a few people weighed in with some grudgingly acknowledged respect for Coach, although not everyone is willing to assign him full credit for flipping Cochran. Quite a few people pointed out how Savaii had, for the most part, brought this on themselves. We also got some great parallel comparisons to players and similar predicaments from past seasons. I really enjoyed the thoughts and question on jury management and the role of strategic gameplay versus social acceptance.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty five shared their thoughts on episode 8 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. We want to especially thank all of you that got your responses in early! This week we heard from: Paul, Sandi Riva, John, EMP, Carolyn, Mario, Samantha, Myra, Becca, DrewG, Brian, Mikeybear, Lil' Russ, Mike, Eric, Ian, Jody & Helen, Michael, Stephanie, Shane, Marc, Clifton, Rashmi and Brandon.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 8 of Survivor South Pacific

This week we interviewed Christine Shields Markoski. She left the game in episode 8 of Survivor South Pacific. Christine became a dominate force at the Redemption duels and a fan favorite. Unfortunately, her reign came to a screeching halt when Ozzy hatched his Trojan Horse plan.

Listen to this interview to hear why Coach really targeted her, who she thinks is not being portrayed accurately, what tribe she would have joined after the merge and lots more!

South Pacific Episode 8

Well, what do you think of Cochran now? Did he single handedly doom Savaii's chances at the million? Did they bring this on themselves? Is there any scenario where Cochran can still win? Dawn appeared to take yet another ride on the emotional roller coaster this week. What did you make of her advice to Cochran? Did she lose her shot at winning too? Do you think the crazy elements of Upolu can hold it together long enough to dispatch all the Savaii members? What do you think Keith's chances are to win his way back from Redemption Beach?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 8.
Te Tuna:Cochran, Dawn, Jim, Ozzy and Whitney, Albert, Brandon, Coach, Edna, Rick, and Sophie
Redemption Beach: Keith vs. ?

Our next prediction for vote out is Ozzy. You know they will be gunning for him the first time he loses individual immunity. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

South Pacific Episode 7 LF

Episode 7 qualifies as the most controversial so far. The two returning players remain at the center of the controversy. Coach's over the top religious zealousness combined with his plot to deceive Brandon through prayer resulted in many fans calling him out as a hypocrite. The general, over abundance of religious content this season is wearing thin for many as well, regardless of their religious affiliation. Quite a few of you weighed in to rate Ozzy's bold play. Most of you think it was a poor strategic choice while acknowledging the potential to make history. Last but not least, Cochran is rapidly losing his fan base, but not all have given up on him, yet.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Thirty four shared their thoughts on episode 7 and predictions for what we'll see next.

South Pacific Episode 7

Here's to paying the bills. Some of you were recently asking if we would get a return visit to Survivor Cinema, and we got the answer tonight. Thankfully, that was not the highlight of the episode though. Ozzy made the biggest move of the season, with his Trojan Horse strategy. How would you rate it: blunder or brilliant? Do you think Coach's plan to reveal the idol worked to mend the split with Albert and Sophie? What do you think of Cochran at this point. Lots of us looked to him to be the hero that super fans were looking for. Will you still be happy if he wins because someone else essentially gave it to him? Will Ozzy put an end to Christine's winning streak at Redemption Beach?

Here are the tribes after episode 7.
Savaii:Cochran, Dawn, Jim, Keith and Whitney
Upolu:Albert, Brandon, Coach, Edna, Rick, and Sophie
Redemption Beach: Christine vs. Ozzy

We think the merge is a go and that Ozzy's master plan will fall into place allowing the Savaii tribe to take out Albert. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

South Pacific Episode 6 LF

Season twenty three keeps delivering, and as the "seesaw" affect continued through episode six, it kicked off a flurry of predictions from you for what we can expect next. Several of you focused in on Ozzy's potential trip and predicted return from Redemption Beach. Fans of Albert suggested he might light Brandon's fuse by telling him that Coach has the HII. Predictions for the duel were about even with Christine and Mikayla both garnering votes as the winner. Jim's fans are hanging tough with him and pleased with the results, and don't forget Dawn, Edna and Cochran. The underdogs of the season all received support from you this week which even included some theories for how they might actually make it to the end.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty fans shared their thoughts on episode 6 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Brian, Doug, Brad, Fancy, Eric, Samantha, JP, EvilJohn, Lil' Russ, DrewG, SurvivorRox, MikeK, Josh, Brandon, Griffin, Becca, Tyler, Alice, Shane and Paul.
