Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

This week we interviewed Vince Sly. He left the game in episode 2 of Survivor Worlds Apart. At the beginning of the game, Vince appeared to be the embodiment of the "No Collar" lifestyle. The more he interacted with his tribemates though, the more they became uneasy around him. Unfortunately for him, it was his concern for Will's health that tripped him up in the end and got him blindsided.

Listen to this interview to hear how he was cast, an assessment of his tribemates, how he felt about his edit and more!

Another episode, another awesome blindside! Yes, season 30 is off to a good start. Max and Shirin continued their tribute to past Survivors. Last week it was Tarzan, this week it was Hatch. Dan, Mike and Nina continued to demonstrate that being a fan does not equal a smart player. Will may have struggled in the challenge, but he certainly took control at Tribal Council and decided who would be voted off. The No Collar tribe will likely sleep easier with Vince gone, but do you think they made the best decision to maintain their numbers?

Do you think Mike and Nina will recover? What did you think of Max and Shirin's choice? Could you ever be that bold? Did your perception of anyone change significantly this week? Who do you think is in control of each tribe? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 2.
Escameca/Blue Collar:Dan, Kelly, Lindsey, Mike, Rodney, Sierra
Nagarote/No Collar:Hali, Jenn, Joe, Nina, Will
Masaya/White Collar:Carolyn, Joaquin, Max, Shirin, Tyler

Many of us were hopeful for this season before it started. It was really refreshing to kick the season off with a great, ninety minute premiere. Based on your feedback most of you agreed. Jenn, Joe and Carolyn appear to be off to a great start. Joaquin, Dan and Mike fumbled their starts, but at least Mike redeemed himself in the challenge. Vince, the life coach, has managed to creep everyone out so far. So, they're not all superstars, but here's hoping this season just keeps getting better and better.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty two fans shared their thoughts on episode 1 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Jill, DirtyRonda, BrandonB, Barbara, JimRosario, BrandonA, Rashmi, Nicola, LeAnn, Drew, Ed, Carolyn, Jen, Samantha, BostonMark, Alice, Jeremiah, Doreese, ColdMike, Josh, Jody, and Paul.

This week we interviewed So Kim. She left the game in episode 1 of Survivor Worlds Apart. The Survivor gods played a mean joke on So. She was originally slated to be on season 29, but that fell through. She got a second chance, geared up to play again in season 30 only to be voted out first.

Listen to this interview to hear how she prepared, what went on that wasn't shown, a review of her tribemates and more!

Survivor season 30, Worlds Apart, is off to a great start! We got to hear from all the castaways. Some are playing smart, a select few, not so much. Super fan Dan was completely oblivious to how he was being perceived by others, and committing a well known Survivor sin: don't start the game by arguing with and alienating your tribe. Vince came out the gate acting nothing like a life coach and managed to give off a creepy, stalker vibe with Jenn. Will promised his tribe sandwiches. Go figure. Carolyn, who many thought might be first out, demonstrated a great awareness of the game and a good judge of character. It was great to get a blindside right out of the gate. It was a nice twist to see a tribe choose to keep an older female so early in the game. This season is already delivering surprises.

How did your assessments of the new castaways change once you saw them in action? What did you think about the twist of having two people choose between Honesty and Deception? Who do you think is in control of each tribe? Who would you have kept: So or Carolyn? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episodes 1.
Escameca/Blue Collar:Dan, Kelly, Lindsey, Mike, Rodney, Sierra
Nagarote/No Collar:Hali, Jenn, Joe, Nina, Vince, Will
Masaya/White Collar:Carolyn, Joaquin, Max, Shirin, Tyler

We are only a few days away from the premiere of season 30, Survivor Worlds Apart. It can be challenging to recognize the new castaways at the beginning of the season, but we've got a solution for that to enhance your Survivor viewing experience. It's called the JABBIC, "Judge A Book By Its Cover", shows. We get started before the first episode airs and record our early thoughts on this new group of castaways. Through this process, we identify a few of them we think will stand out from the beginning, and it greatly improves the odds of recognizing your early favorites.

This is Part 2 of our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. Fourteen fans, like you, recorded their perspective on the new cast including their choice of favorites, who's most likely to get voted out first, make the merge, have a shot at the final tribal council as well as who has what it takes to win it all.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great JABBIC show. This week we heard from: Barbara, Jen, BrandonB, Ronda, Samantha, Frank, Drew, BrandonA, Rashmi, Sandi, Jeremiah, Josh, Jody and Paul. Carolyn was so happy for Natalie's win that she created a song to celebrate it. Make sure to check out the outro song she recorded for us all to enjoy!

JSFL registration is open! If you would like to join in the fun, click on this link: JSFL Registration and get your picks in before the first episode airs. You'll have to decide who you think will win it all, who will be voted out first, and four castaways that will be safe from the first tribal council. Reminder: you have to listen to the podcast to hear the Listener Reward Bonus questions.

All About that Rice
Because you know it’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
"It’s all about that rice." "We know, Jeff!"

Loud and shrill and pushy,
Such sexist labels
Guys are just "assertive",
Girls are "unstable".
But we just can’t say no to CBS
Although this Race stays in just this one place, yawn

I hear your mutterings
That I’m annoy-oying,
But, unlike that Missy,
I’m never cloy-oying!
Get in the back seat, let me drive you
To your palace back in Dallas, time to find a husband new!

Soy La Reina de la Playa, the Queen of Hunahpu Beach,
‘Til I found out my sis had been booted, our game impeached
But I dried off my tears, did my Crossfit, and made no fuss
Now they’re toasting my win from Colombo to Pa-ra-mus!

Because you know it’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice-

Subcontinental cool,
Don’t you wish that you were all Sri Lankan too?
Go Brownie power!
Miss America--ya got nothing, Jacklyn,
Take your grand plan back to Michigan,
I’m famouser than you!

I outlasted the Wentworths, the Nale males, and both Christys,
I outwitted that racist John and quitter Boobs McGee
I outplayed Josh and Reed, used my idol despite Baylor’s pleas,
And took out Other Jon in revenge for my Jeremy!

Because you know it’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice, no Twinnie
It’s all about that rice, ‘bout that rice-

Because you know it’s all about that win, ‘bout that win, go Twinnie
It’s all about that win, ‘bout that win, go Twinnie
It’s all about that win, ‘bout that win, go Twinnie
It’s all about that win, ‘bout that win-

Soy La Reina de la Playa, the Queen of Hunahpu Beach,
‘Til I found out my sis had been booted, our game impeached
But I dried off my tears, did my Crossfit, and made no fuss
Now they’re toasting my win from Colombo to Pa-ra-mus!

Colombo is the capitol of Sri Lanka and Paramus is a big mall-infested city in New Jersey that, like so many others there, is a funny name to say. The girls actually live in Edgewater, which is nice but not particularly funny and doesn't rhyme with anything.

Today we interviewed Jaclyn Schultz. She finished Survivor San Juan Del Sur in second place. Jaclyn was mostly invisible for the first part of the game. She came to life when she reunited with her boyfriend Jon at the tribal shuffle and then helped plan their ascent into the controlling alliance. She often demonstrated good instincts for potential threats but seemed to lack the confidence to act on them. She will be most remembered for her surprising performance at the final challenge.

Listen to this interview to hear why at one point she had considered dropping out at final five, an update on the injury from that final challenge, why she took Natalie over Keith and more!

Seventeen fans shared their thoughts on the finale, the season as a whole as well as their predictions for season 30, Worlds Apart.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Barbara, Mikeybear, Rashmi, Nina, Carolyn, Emily, Kenny, Drew, Josh, Samantha, Becca, Ann, Jill, Ronda, Boston Mark, Jeremiah, and Paul.

JSFL Update: Congratulations to Rashmi, winner of this season's JSFL as well as the side challenge!
Note:Nina's punishment/reward for coming in last in the JSFL side challenge will be for her to sing a tribute to Natalie with a special version of Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny), using the English version of the song from Slumdog Millionaire by A.R. Rahman and The Pussycat Dolls.
