Survivor Fans Podcast (Recap)
Jo Ann and Stacy follow the hit reality show Survivor.

A great season deserves a great finale, and that is exactly what we got! It remained unpredictable to the end. The majority of this cast was superb. We can not think of a season that had so many castaways that came to play to win. It never seemed predictable either. We were blindsided right along with most of the Survivors at each Tribal Council. The season ended with two great challenges that included one of the best come from behind victories in Survivor history. Many on the jury were bitter and opted to take revenge or grand stand at the final Tribal Council, but in the end all but one of them opted to reward dominant game play over adherence to personal principles.

Were you happy with the result? Do you recall anyone on a jury giving as passionate a speech as Spencer offered in support of Tony? How would you score the jury? Who nailed it and who disappointed? Where does this reason rank for you against the other 27? Any thoughts or predictions on season 29, Blood vs. Water 2?

JSFL Update: Congratulations to David from Brooklyn, winner of this season's JSFL!
Note:Jeremiah, your side challenge debt will be decided by BrandonB.

Here we are at episode 12, with only one episode to go, and we are still getting blindsides! This has been one of the most consistent seasons we have had in a long time. It may have taken 36 days, but it seems like Woo finally woke up and decided to play the game instead of settling for being Tony's little buddy. Tony has taken a big gamble. Rather than demonstrate his loyalty to Trish, he has opted to use the TPI for his ultimate bluff. Do you think it will pay off to secure his spot at a final 3? It looks like Tony and Spencer may trade roles with Tony now in the minority, underdog role. Do you think Kass and Woo will want to go to the final 3 with Spencer?

What did you think about Tony's choice to bluff with the TPI? Was there a better option available? How significant was Trish to Tony's end game plan? Will she be a great advocate or his worst nightmare at the Ponderosa? Does Kass or Woo still have a chance to win? What will be the most surprising ending for you? Who is your pick to win it all?

Here are our final four.
Solarrion:Kass, Spencer, Tony and Woo

A significant portion of Kass' chaos exists completely in her head. She went a bit off the deep end this week, imagining that Tony was trash talking about her to the guys. She is so sure of her own convictions that she does not bother to validate them with anyone else. The smart ones like Spencer and Tasha just step back and watch the drama unfold. Kass is convinced Tony is unlikable by a jury and therefore the great goat, but continues to overlook the fact that she may be perceived the same way. It has been really amazing to watch two of the original Luzon members, underdogs from the start, continue to dominate individual immunity challenges.

Who stands the best chance of beating Tony now? Is Kass better off making friends or making everyone paranoid? Does Trish have enough accomplishments in the game to win? Can you see any way that Woo could pull out a win? Who is your most and least likely final three at this point? If Spencer wins immunity again, who do you think will be the next to go?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 11.

There is a backlash building. It is due to the overload of Tony we are getting in each episode now. The lack of suspense about his future in the game combined with how he is managing his new found power has polarized Survivor fans. The biggest question he faces now is, how will the jury react to him if he makes it to the end? Predictions on who is going next were split between Kass, Tasha, Spencer and Woo.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Ten fans made the extra effort to share their thoughts on episode 10 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Jody, Nicola, Jeremiah, Robert, Aaron, Rashmi, Drew, Josh, Ronda and Paul.

The "Previously on Survivor" segment is usually a quick recap of past events, but every once in a while, they sneak in some new content. This was one of those weeks as we got to see more of a heated exchange between Jefra and Tony that occurred after LJ was voted out. This did not bode well for Jefra's future. This episode included the classic Survivor auction. These sometimes offer insights into how people are playing the game. Some castaways give in to temptation and choose the path of least resistance which is to buy food. The ones that are determined to win, save their money in hopes of buying an advantage in the game. For the first time in Survivor history, two people tied the bid for the "advantage" and drew rocks to see who would take it. That advantage really payed off, and resulted in the creation of one of the most powerful players in the game's history.

Who do you think has played the best social game so far? Who still stands a chance of beating Tony? Is bidding on food ever your best choice at the auction? Who is your most and least likely final three at this point ? Who do you think will be the next to go?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 10.

When the pressure is on, Tony consistently delivers. We all wondered how he would manage the fallout from his big flip against LJ, and he wasted no time doing damage control, setting up surveillance and developing counter measures. Speaking of flip flopping, Jefra did herself no favors this episode as she see-sawed back and forth between alliances. The rest of the castaways stayed the course with their alliances. Tony's use of the TPI at TC was quite a display. He bluffed Spencer who ended up wasting his HII, and convinced everyone that he didn't really have the most powerful idol in the game. It doesn't get much better than that. The majority alliance is up by three and could afford to lose a member? Do you think a crack will form to give Spencer and Tasha hope?

Who do you think will win the showdown between Spencer and Tony? Do you think Tony's guaranteed to be in the finale now that he has the TPI? Who do you think will play the auction strategically versus out of hunger? Who is your odds on favorite to win at this point and who has no chance? Who do you think will be the next to go?

Forget Chaos Kass. She has nothing on Tony the Tiger. He eats chaos for breakfast and it tastes great! Tony is the kind of player you hope for if you end up in a minority alliance. He is trying to play so hard and so fast that he can convince himself to give up a sure thing and trade it for a lesser role just to accomplish his near term goals. It is only day twenty five. He must be counting on people having ten days left to cool off. Meanwhile, the brain tribe members are still in the game, and we may be looking at a shift in power as a new majority alliance of five takes control. How will Trish, Kass and Jefra handle the flip?

Has Tony overplayed his hand? Will it be possible for him to win, or has he now become an unlikeable goat? Did Woo improve his chances or just become the bottom of a five person alliance? Who will Tony target next? Who do you think will be the next to go?

The TP Idol has yet to make an appearance, but the good, old fashioned HII provided more than enough excitement for this episode. Wonder Woo went ninja on Spencer, but that wasn't enough to keep Spencer down. He pulled two rabbits out of his hat this week and ensured he would be around for at least two more episodes. Kass may not want to call it flip flopping, but you can bet everyone that gets burned will see it that way. A sense of entitlement rarely serves you well on Survivor. Blatant acknowledgement of it combined with a complete disregard for the perceptions of others suggests you might have never had a clue how to play this game to begin with.

Was Woo in the right in stealing the clue? How long do you think the majority alliance can hold it together? Would Kass gain anything in flipping back to Spencer's shrinking alliance? Who do you think will be next to go?

This was yet another episode jammed packed with surprises. The game now moves into the second phase as the tribes merge and we switch to individual immunity. It was interesting to watch the majority alliance disintegrate because Kass and Sarah couldn't get along. Kass may not make logical choices, but she sure keeps us guessing. Tony could not win back Sarah, so it fell once again to Trish to take control of the game and give the minority alliance a chance to survive.

Were you surprised at how Tony and LJ played their HIIs? How do you think the new TP idol will affect the game? Will it be a golden ticket to the finale or another lost opportunity? Will Kass be able to win, if the new majority alliance goes on a winning streak? Who is most likely to hold a grudge against her on the jury? Will the new alliance of 6 be able to hold it together long enough to get rid of Spencer, Tasha, Jeremiah, and Morgan? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here is the new, merged tribe after episode 6.

After all the positives we've experienced this season, it was sad to have it marred by a quitter. We saw hints of this inherent weakness in Lindsey back during the storms, so it was not a surprise to see her fold like a piece of paper once the odds were not in her favor. In spite of this set back, there were still plenty of exciting developments in this episode. Tony was a roller coaster of activity, first being creative and succeeding in casting a shadow over Jeremiah but then over sharing with his alliance and finally by over celebrating a victory from a minority alliance position. The brains alliance is flush with their new sense of power, but they don't really appear to be cementing a solid, lasting majority alliance either. Alexis went into desperation mode. Jeremiah fumbled his way through another tribal council, and Morgan got some sweet revenge. The merge is coming, and there appears to be several castaways that will be left to act as free agents.

Which group of five offers the best chance for Sarah? Will Tony end up sharing his HII? What is the best overall play for Morgan, Jeremiah, Sarah and Woo? Do you think there might be the possibility we will see an entirely new majority alliance form? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 5.
