It is time to take a final look back at Survivor Caramoan. Most of us were satisfied with the finale. Your thoughts on the reunion show were very clear. It was a colossal flop. We all hope we never see that again. Pretty much everyone is happy for Cochran. The verdict on Dawn remains very split. Her gameplay this season was polarizing in a way we had not seen in a long time. One noble fan came to Sherri's defense. The teaser for season 27 was just plain vague, but we hold out hope that it will be awesome! There is nothing like a double elimination episode to speed the game along. Based on your feedback, everyone was expecting Reynold to go, but ended up liking him given his overall performance, even if he was a bit of a clueless recruit. Responses varied more for Andrea, but one thing was clear, we really valued how she managed her exit and maintained a healthy perspective on the game. It was going to be almost impossible for this episode to measure up given how great the previous one was. There was potential and opportunity to make it happen, but the odds finally overwhelmed the three amigos. Many were sad to see Malcolm exit the game. Others, not so much. According to this week's responses, the standouts from episode 9 were certainly Dawn and Malcolm, but Andrea, Eddie, Sherri, Cochran and even invisible, serene Brenda had stand out moments. There is nothing wrong with a nice big, bowl of vanilla survivor. According to the feedback this week, vanilla is the favorite flavor of quite a few fans here. Many of us are still waiting on Probst's promise for this to turn into a "great season". Malcolm's power alliance may hold the key. It will take more than four with a couple of OPIIs to take control of their own destiny, but the possibility of it happening left many of us hopeful. The merge will at least present an opportunity for the balance of power to shift. It is clear from your response that we are all thrilled to have a normal Survivor episode back this week. Several of you had some interesting predictions for how it might play out from here. The consensus remains that the "fans" are doomed. Contrary to what we initially thought, the shuffle might not have been random at all. Up until now, a lot of us had a generally positive view of this season. We could overlook the wasted space that Shamar occupied and look forward. Unfortunately, Episode 5 and all the ugliness that occurred inside has shifted the majority opinion. While several people mentioned they liked this episode, the spectacle that became Brandon's exit has cast a bad perception on everything. He had been hyped from the NToS outburst for episode 1, but it was easy to overlook his threats. Episode 5 made him the sole focus of the show which equaled an unpleasant experience for some but not all. The great thing about our SFP community is that we love the show, have diverse life experience and a have combined that with our willingness to share that allows us to step back and look at what transpired through many lenses to help make sense of it all. Plus, we got a bonus bad boy crush confession from a fellow fan. There was definitely one thing we all agreed on. Regardless of how he left, it was good to see Shamar make his exit which also resulted in many of you voting karma as "Player of the Week". Reviews on Laura's departure were mixed. Many valued her for her strategic play, but the exit interviews left many wondering how much of that was favorable editing. We had some good back-n-forth on the classic strength versus loyalty question, and opinions for the season overall are still generally positive with much credit being given to the return of serious water challenges. Feedback on episode 3 was mixed. Some are enjoying it and for others the disappointing nature of Shamar's influence has cast a negative funk over the show. For those that enjoyed it, the highlights centered on Laura, Sherri, Corrine, Malcolm and Andrea's choices. The finding of the remaining OPII, pre-emptive attack on Corrine, handling of Shamar, and management of the votes provided ample topics for strategic speculation. It is not clear yet if the fans can save themselves from self destruction, but most of you seem to think their utter destruction is imminent.
