Nicaragua Episode 10

Wow! It actually happened. The sheep woke up and realized they were being led to slaughter, and they took action to change the outcome. Kudos to Holly, NaOnka, Benry and Fabio for taking an active role in their own destiny in the game. Survivor Nicaragua just got a lot more interesting.

NaOnka appeared to be instrumental in overthrowing King Brenda. Is that enough to make her a contender for the million again? Could you see yourself voting for Chase to win the million at this point? What would he have to do to become a contender? A lot of people are rooting for Fabio. Do you think he could win it at this point? Who do you think has the power now in the game?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 10.
Libertad: Benry, Chase, Dan, Holly, Jane, Jud, Kelly S, NaOnka and Sash

Jo Ann predicted that Sash would be the next to join the jury. Stacy thinks Chase will be on the chopping block. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 9

Hey, maybe there are more than 3 people actually playing to win this season. Episode 9 showed us that there are other castaways besides Brenda, Sash, and Marty willing to take some risks and take action to improve their chances to win the million. Chase, Holly and Jane have an alliance as does Dan, Benry and Fabio.

Do you think there's anything that NaOnka could do to the tribe that would get her voted out at this point? How do you think she would react if Brenda or Sash were criticizing her? What will Jane do now that she doesn't have Marty to focus all her energy on? Do you think Chase can survive without Brenda's support? What's your guess for the "big" surprise moment in episode 10?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 9.
Libertad: Brenda, Benry, Chase, Dan, Holly, Jane, Jud, Kelly S, NaOnka and Sash

Jo Ann grudgingly predicted that Jane would be voted out next. Stacy thinks Chase will be the next to go. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 8

Yay, the merge is here! Now we transition into the second, more complicated phase of the game. The consequence of actions carries greater weight. Each remaining castaway has to be prepared to convince everyone that gets voted out that they deserve a million dollars. It also brings with it the opportunity to overthrow previous alliances. Anyone that isn't in the top tier of an alliance could flip and better their standing in the game. Every tribal council that consists of an odd number of votes opens the door for the "swing vote". Someone on the outside or at the bottom of an alliance can break the tie vote and dramatically change their future.

Do you think Brenda, Sash and NaOnka have a lock on final 3 at this point? Who's their biggest threat and most likely to challenge them in the next episode? Who do you think is most likely to flip the game on its head? How would you have responded to NaOnka and Alina's admission to stealing from the tribe? How do you compare what they did to Jane or Holly's previous actions? Who from the original Espada tribe stands a chance to make it to final 5? Who do you think will get voted out first: NaOnka or Fabio?

Here is the new, merged tribe after episode 8.
Libertad: Brenda, Benry, Chase, Dan, Holly, Jane, Jud, Kelly S, Marty, NaOnka and Sash

Jo Ann and Stacy both think Marty will be the next to go. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 7

This season hasn't really followed any of the typical patterns. So, it was kind of nice to get back to a normal 3 day cycle along with a separate reward and immunity challenge. That did not mean it was boring though.

Would you risk a private meal the way Jane did? Do you think it was fair for her to eat a fish by herself? The merge is coming. Do you think we will see a shift in power, or will the old La Flor tribe regroup for a predictable finish? Why do you think Marty gave up the HII? Can you see any scenario where that works to his advantage? Do you think there is any chance that Sash will actually keep his word and give it back? Will Sash's slip in tribal council come back to haunt him? Will NaOnka pay the price for stealing food from the merge feast?

Here are the tribes after episode 7.
New La Flor: Brenda, Jane, Jud, Kelly S, Marty and Sash
New Espada: Alina, Benry, Chase, Dan, Holly and NaOnka

Jo Ann thinks Marty will be the post merge target. Stacy thinks that NaOnka will be looking to finish off Alina. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 6

How was that for an intense day? Usually, each episode of Survivor takes place over a three day cycle. This episode was unique in that it all took place on day 15. And in another rare twist, the active person with two good legs, albeit one of them being prosthetic, gets the boot from La Flor while the person with two bad legs that sleeps during the day survives in Espada. This episode also broke the streak for voting out talkative leader types. Both these folks were quiet background players trying to fly under the radar.

Do you think the young ones plus Jane are still in control at La Flor? Who do you think came out better at tribal council: Brenda or Marty? How much influence do you think Marty can exert on Fabio? Do Marty and Jill stand a chance against Brenda and Sash? Holly seems fully gung ho about her new alliance. Do you think she can outlast Dan and Alina if they go to another tribal council? What do you think about Dan's strategy? Could you play the game that way?

Here are the tribes after episode 6.
New La Flor: Brenda, Jane, Jill, Jud, Kelly S, Marty and Sash
New Espada: Alina, Benry, Chase, Dan, Holly and NaOnka

Jo Ann thinks Holly will be next when Espada loses immunity next week. Stacy thinks that we will get to see a great batlle between Brenda and Marty with Brenda making her exit as the balance of power tilts in a new direction for La Flor. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 5

Wow, we were blind sided by that result! We thought Tyrone was playing so smart, laying back, observing waiting to see how things played out. Who knew he was right there with Jimmy T, chomping at the bit for his shot to take control of the tribe. He achieved the same result, but unlike the four who proceeded him, managed to do it without a big blow up at tribal council.

No one seemed to have considered the idea of a shuffle, but a few seemed ready and eager to better their position once the opportunity presented itself. Who stands to improve their chances the most? How would you handle that scenario if you were on the show? What did you think of Alina and Chase's attempt to console NaOnka? Would you do that if you were in their position? Did you buy NaOnka's explanation that she wasn't a quitter? Do you think Marty can use the HII to take control of La Flor? Do you think Yve has a chance with her new Espada tribe? Who do you think is in the best position to win after the shuffle?

Here are the tribes after episode 5.
New La Flor: Brenda, Jane, Jill, Jud, Kelly B, Kelly S, Marty and Sash
New Espada: Alina, Benry, Chase, Dan, Holly, NaOnka and Yve

We think we're headed to a double elimination next week. That said, we expect Jill to go for La Flor and Dan to be booted from Espada. Do you think we will get a double in episode 6? Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 4

That is four in a row now that appear to have self destructed in Tribal Council. The theme for this season continues to be, "Hey look at me. Watch me talk my way right into being voted out!"

How would you play it if you were in Marty's shoes? Would you choose to keep a physically weaker player that would vote with you over someone that could probably do more to help your tribe win a challenge? What did you think of Brenda's choice to let Chase know that NaOnka has the HII? Would you have kept that to yourself? Did she really gain anything by doing that? Do you think NaOnka was succesful in intimidating Kelly B and Alina? Do you think NaOnka will quit if the odds turn against her? Jill is susposedly a super fan like you. How would you rate her game to date? How do you think the tribe shuffle will affect the game?

Here are the tribes after episode 4.
La Flor:Alina, Benry, Brenda, Chase, Jud, Kelly B, Kelly S, NaOnka, and Sash
Espada:Dan, Holly, Jane, Jill, Marty, Tyrone and Yve

Jo Ann and Stacy both think Dan will not survive the impending tribal shuffle. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 3

The personal drama and overall intensity dropped a bit in episode 3, but there was still plenty of action to take in. Following in the shoes of Wendy and Shannon, it was Jimmy T's turn this week to demonstrate that he doesn't know when to stop talking. The big difference was that he was fortunate to have someone else in line in front of him to take the fall at Tribal Council.

How does NaOnka score on your Survivor Villain scale? How would you rate her if she shoves Kelly B down or follows through on her threat to dump her prosthetic leg in the fire? Would you have shared the HII if you were in Marty's position? Do you think he really had a choice? Can you think of any way that Alina could save her self from being voted out next on La Flor? Who do you think will step up next to be the leader of Espada? Has Holly recovered or can we expect another meltdown?

Here are the tribes after episode 3.
La Flor:Alina, Benry, Brenda, Chase, Jud, Kelly B, Kelly S, NaOnka, and Sash
Espada:Dan, Holly, Jane, Jill, Jimmy T, Marty, Tyrone and Yve

Jo Ann thinks Dan's bum knee and overall lackluster performance will buy him a ticket to Loser's Lodge. Stacy thinks La Flor will lose their composure and send Alina packing. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 2

Tonight's episode was evidently sponsored by "The Dark Side of Human Nature". We've got at least 3 castaways this season that were ready to get ugly with others at the drop of a hat. Do you think that might be due to Russell's influence on the game?

If you were on a tribe with Holly or NaOnka, how would you take advantage of their erratic behavior? Would you include them in your alliance or vote them off as soon as you had a chance? Jill and Marty partnered to discover the first HII. How do you think it will affect their chances in the game? Do you think Jimmy Johnson is really calling the shots on Espada? Will La Flor follow Brenda's advice and use the MOP in the next challenge?

Here are the tribes after episode 2.
La Flor:Alina, Benry, Brenda, Chase, Jud, Kelly B, Kelly S, NaOnka, and Sash
Espada:Dan, Holly, Jane, Jill, Jimmy J, Jimmy T, Marty, Tyrone and Yve

We both think that La Flor is in a full on meltdown and that NaOnka will be the next to go. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Nicaragua Episode 1

Welcome back! We got a great start with Episode 1 of Survivor Nicaragua tonight. It began with a classic psyche manuever leading the castaways to think the tribes had already been chosen as they made their first entrance on the show. Oddly enough, the only person perceptive enough to guess the truth behind how the tribe membership would actually be determined ended up being voted out. It looks like the challenges may actually be balanced this time. Maybe the older, Espada tribe will actually have an equal opportunity to win.

Do you think Jimmy Johnson really is a fan? Some of the things we heard him say in tonight's episode really left me wondering. Do you think the "men's alliance" started by Chase and Shannon will amount to anything? How long before Jud gets seriously hurt and takes himself out of the game on a medical? It seems very likely that the Espada tribe will use the Medallion of Power, aka the MoP, in the next challenge. Do you think it will be enough to help them win and avoid another tribal council?

Here are the tribes after episode 1.
La Flor:Alena, Benry, Brenda, Chase, Jud, Kelly B, Kelly S, NaOnka, Sash and Shannon
Espada:Dan, Holly, Jane, Jill, Jimmy J, Jimmy T, Marty, Tyrone and Yve

Jo Ann is hoping that Espada will vote out Dan next. Stacy thinks that Jimmy Johnson is the next best choice. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?
