SFP Interview: Sherri Biethman from Survivor Caramoan

We interviewed Sherri Biethman on the Red Carpet at the finale of Survivor Caramoan. She started the game strong, calling the shots on her tribe and made having a goat in her alliance with Shemar a cornerstone of her strategy. Continuous losses and a tribe shuffle sent her scurrying to the safety with another goat in Phillip. Little did she know that she was destined to become the goat in the final tribal council.

Listen to this audio interview to hear how she was cast, her take on the final tribal council, her edit and lots more!

SFP Interview: Eddie Fox from Survivor Caramoan

We interviewed Eddie Fox on the Red Carpet at the Survivor Caramoan finale. Eddie survived against big odds to make it almost to the end. He and his buddy Reynold will go down in Survivor history as two of the most repeatedly deceived people to ever to play the game. His refreshingly positive outlook in spite of constantly being on the outside of the controlling alliances was a big reason for why he made it to day 38.

Listen to this audio interview to hear his view on the "cool kids" alliance, how he prepared for the game, his take on his edit, and lots more!

SFP Interview: Boston Rob at the Survivor Caramoan Finale

We had the opportunity to interview Boston Rob on the Red Carpet at the finale of Survivor Caramoan. Phillip's constant references to "the BR rules" inspired Rob to become an author.

Listen to this audio interview to hear Rob's take on Cochran's win and a few rules every fan should know!

SFP Interview: Erik Reichenbach from Survivor Caramoan

We interviewed Erik Reichenbach on the Red Carpet at the finale of Survivor Caramoan. Erik started the season off in the minority alliance and had to patiently work his way back into the game. Once gain, he came within sight of the end, but unfortunately, made history this time for being medically evacuated on day 36.

Listen to this audio interview to hear the full scoop on the illness that sidelined him, how "night rice" led to starvation and lots more!

Caramoan Finale

Redemption Island 2 might have been a better title than Fans vs. Favorites. Of course, that is only now apparent in hindsight, and it would have been a bit of a spoiler for the fans if they had used that title. As it turned out, Cochran's redemption story was key to this whole bizarre string of events that composed season 26. He certainly earned the win. We covered the finale in Studio City, CA, had the pleasure to meet the cast and spend time with fellow super fans.

What did you think of the finale and the reunion show? Were you happy with the end result? How does Cochran compare to other Survivor winners? Where do you think his final tribal speech and defense ranks in Survivor history? Looking back in total, how does this season compare to others? What do you think about Survivor Blood vs. Water? Listener Feedback is due Wednesday, May 15th at 5pm PST.

JSFL Update: We're still working on the details for the scoring. We expect to announce the winner(s) during the final LF show on Wednesday.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 13 of Survivor Caramoan

This week we interviewed Brenda Lowe. She left the game in episode 13. Brenda played an "under the radar" game and was likened to Purple Kelley for lack of screen time and confessionals for the first two thirds of the season. She eventually found her way into the majority alliance and then opened up more after the merge. Unfortunately for her though, she fell prey to Dawn the Destroyer and ended up being deceived by yet another imaginary bond that meant nothing in the context of the game.

Listen to this audio interview to hear details on the injury that plagued her throughout the game, how she felt about Dawn's betrayal, what really happened at that last immunity challenge and lots more!

Caramoan Episode 13

Can any action be viewed as selfless at this stage in the game? The "Loved Ones" episodes are always full of overflowing emotion and fraught with this type of quandary. Some have actively avoided winning just so they do not have to make the tough choices. Brenda faced a tough choice: Do I risk making my competitors stronger by giving the reward away to the larger group or focus on the ones that are closest to me? She may have figured that Dawn was strong enough to handle the repercussions, but it might have been the excuse that Dawn was looking for to turn on her. How significant do you think Cochran's role was in turning the tide against Brenda? Will Brenda's hurt feelings come back to haunt them?

We are down to the final five and surprisingly, there are still two "Fans" in the game. Do Eddie or Sherri have a shot at the $1m? Who has been riding coattails and who has been actively working to get themselves to the end? What is your pick for the final four order?

Here is the tribe after episode 13.
Madeline:Cochran, Dawn, Eddie, Erik, and Sherri

Caramoan Episode 12 LF

There is nothing like a double elimination episode to speed the game along. Based on your feedback, everyone was expecting Reynold to go, but ended up liking him given his overall performance, even if he was a bit of a clueless recruit. Responses varied more for Andrea, but one thing was clear, we really valued how she managed her exit and maintained a healthy perspective on the game. We are headed into the finale and several folks offered predictions for how it will play out!

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Ten fans shared their thoughts on episode 12 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Kenny, Brian, Shelley, Sean, BostonMark, Josh, Drew, BrandonB, Trey, and Paul

SFP Interview: Castoffs from Episode 12 of Survivor Caramoan

This week we interviewed Reynold Toepfer and Andrea Boehlke. They left the game in episode 12, which turned out to be a special double elimination episode of Survivor Caramoan featuring back to back Tribal Councils. Reynold got pushed to the outside on day two, but he never gave up and fought as hard as he could all the way to the end. Andrea was the polar opposite, always in the controlling alliance, calling all the shots, playing aggressively until it all finally caught up with her after coming into possession of the HII she worked so hard to keep Malcolm from getting.

Listen to this special, double interview to hear about the injury that almost took Reynold out of the game, who was really in Andrea's final three, how they felt about their tribemates that quit the challenge for food and lots more!

Caramoan Episode 12

We got a double elimination episode where one fan and one fav left the game. That seems fair. The fracturing of the majority alliance has finally started. They did great to hold it to together this long, especially if they made loyalty a center piece of the plan. Looks like Cochran, the challenge monster, met his match in the form of three hot dogs and a soda. We already knew that knots were a form of kryptonite for him too. As the self professed, last "independent thinker" left in the game, do you think he might be next to go? I hate to say it, but I think we're missing a challenge with tile breaking. Where's the pecking order challenge that will help everyone see where they stand? Will we get some of that from the family visit where the winner has to pick someone to join them?

Do you think there is a chance that one of the fans will make it to the end? Who do you see as the most likely final three? Who are the least likely? Who does Erik need to eliminate next to improve his chances? Did Brenda go overboard with the three hour immunity challenge performance? Do you think Dawn can hold it together long enough to get to the end?

Here is the tribe after episode 12.
Madeline:Cochran, Dawn, Brenda, Eddie, Erik, Reynold, and Sherri
